Quality & Safety

Strict Manufacturing Practices

HIT, a member of the Kagome group, understands that having an adequate Quality and Food Safety Policy is a fundamental instrument of its strategy and a critical factor for all its operations' success.

This applies to all the practical aspects of food manufacturing, such as training our people, wearing protective clothing, equipment cleaning and maintenance, handling ingredients and packaging, and waste management. As such:

  • Establish a quality and food safety management system, to ensure the consistent supply of safe, authentic and high-quality products that meet the explicit and implicit demands of our customers. This includes the requirements for KOSHER and HALAL certification. We consistently consider technological and market developments and will always have a perspective of continuous improvement.

  • Comply with current Standards and Regulations, particularly within the scope of activities or operations that influence food safety, through the application of good manufacturing and hygiene practices and HACCP principles.

  • Ensure the effectiveness of internal and external communication regarding food quality and safety.

  • Involve and motivate our employees, ensuring their training and awareness in issues of quality and food safety, respecting the ethical standards in force.
